How do you select your caregivers?
We carefully screen everyone on our Laporte senior caregiver team to ensure they pass state and national background checks and are fully qualified to provide GreatCare®. We conduct in-depth personal interviews to evaluate their experience and skills and ensure they have the positive qualities required to serve our seniors. We require candidates to hold a CNA license or have at least one year of experience working with seniors.
Does insurance cover the cost of your services?
Our Laporte in-home care assistance is not covered by Medicare or other health insurance providers. While Medicaid may offer partial coverage, it is not accepted by all of our offices at this time. Long-term care insurance is a good option to pay for our home care services. Additionally, if you are eligible, the VA’s Aid and Attendance program can help pay for our services. We are happy to assist you with the prequalification process for the VA benefit.
