What do your services include?

Our caregivers assist clients with a range of tasks, promoting their independence.

PERSONAL CARE: We are right there to help with dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, exercise, outdoor walks, and toileting.
TRANSPORTATION: When it’s time to go somewhere, like a doctor’s appointment, church service, or to visit a friend, we can provide safe transportation.
MEAL PREPARATION: Breakfast, lunch, dinner — or all three — we’ll plan and cook the meals, keeping in mind all dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
MEDICATION REMINDERS: We’ll maintain a complete medication inventory with a schedule of proper dosages and reminders to ensure there are no mistakes or mishaps.
COMPANIONSHIP: Interaction with others is a wonderful way to avoid the depression that comes from loneliness. We’re there to listen, to chat, and to share fun and special moments with our seniors.
RESPITE CARE: Sometimes you just need a break, a camping vacation is calling or you’re scheduled for a business trip. We’re more than happy to fill your shoes while you’re gone.
ERRAND SERVICE: Driving to the pharmacy, picking up new glasses at the optometrist, or getting a few things at the market — we’ll take care of it!
LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING: We’ll dust the shelves, even the high ones that are hard to reach. We’ll wipe down the kitchen counters and sweep the floor, and we’ll even make the bathroom sparkle!
FAMILY PORTAL: Each of our clients gets a tablet with access to our Family Portal so they can always stay in contact and get the support they need.
HOME SAFETY ASSESSMENT: We check every home against our 43-point safety assessment to ensure the home is completely safe and provides adequate security.

How much does the service cost?

We charge an hourly, flat rate no matter what services are required. We work with you and your loved one to conduct a full assessment to determine the hours required in properly assisting your loved one.

Does insurance cover the cost of your services?

Our services are covered with long-term care insurance or if you qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance program. We can help you determine if you qualify for the VA benefit. Most major insurance providers do not cover home care services. Medicaid may cover some of the services we provide, but currently, many of our offices don’t accept Medicaid. Medicare’s GUIDE Model may offer resources for individuals with dementia and their family caregivers. Ask us for details.

  Caring Senior Service has been a Godsend for our family. The care, kindness, patience, and love they have shown our 89 year old Mom and 100 year old Stepdad is amazing and exceptional.  We are so grateful for all that Liz does to make sure they receive the care they need and, because we live so far away, to always keep us informed. She treats them like they are her family and we are beyond grateful for that.   I have had the pleasure of employing the staff at Caring Senior Services to assist my parents through recent injuries. In every scenario, I found all staff to be professional, informed, personable and dependable. True to their name, staff also genuinely care about the people they serve. Additionally, care for parents or the elderly changes from day to day with sudden and unpredictable escalating or diminishing needs.   We hired Caring Senior Services to care for my Father shortly after his wife of 20 years had passed away. My Father was not in very good shape physically and emotionally after his wife's passing. I was looking for an agency that could take care of my Father's functional needs as well as provide him company and emotional support. CSS assigned Sulema as his caregiver and it has proven to be an excellent fit. Sulema has provided excellent care to my Father over the past four months. She genuinely cares for my Father's well being. She goes to his doctors appointments and is there to listen and be an advocate for him.  As a result, my Father's physical, emotional and mental health has improved tremendously. While my Father still needs in home assistance, his overall quality of life has improved thanks to the care and attention he has received from Sulema. I appreciate CSS and their staff for taking good care of my Father in his Golden years.

  The caregivers we have are very professional, caring.  Nothing is too much for them to do for us. Bathing, preparing meals, toileting, grocery shopping, laundry and more. My husband and I have had a very positive experience with this company. It was the best decision I made to hire them.   Caring Senior Services was there for our family when we needed them most. They provided great  24 hour care for my mom after an injury. The staff provided kind, respectful care.   I recently needed care for my parents who have dementia for two weeks while I made arrangements to move them to memory care.  Caring senior citizens saved us with their efficiency and professionalism.  They were there for mom and dad and the kept me calm with frequent updates.  We got the opportunity to meet Crystal and she was so good with my mom!  I won’t lie it was costly but worth every penny to know mom and dad were safe!

  You may feel no one is good enough to care for your mom, but no one comes closer than Caring Senior Service. I had tried convincing my mom for months for around the clock care. Then came an emergency during Thanksgiving 2017 and I called Caring Senior Service. They were able to find excellent caregivers immediately. Note, I live over 500 miles away and they were just a call away. I was very impressed by the quality of their care. They helped my mom with everything. They went way beyond what I expected with everything, from staying up all night with her to calm down her anxiety, taking her to the grocery store and patiently helping her with her shopping, and taking her to her doctor appts, even one appointment in San Antonio!  Since I couldn't be there for all doctor appointments, they took excellent notes and reviewed them with me. I highly recommend them!!!!
