Andreanna Smith Named Caring’s National Caregiver of the year 2025

by | Mar 26, 2026

At Caring Senior Service of Littleton, we so proud that our very own Andreanna Smith was selected as the 2025 Caregiver of the Year for Caring Senior Service. She is a caregiver who truly lives out our GreatCare values in every interaction, and this nationwide recognition means so much.

Andreanna’s journey into caregiving is deeply personal. After caring for her sister through metastatic breast cancer, she experienced firsthand the impact compassionate care can have on a family. That experience now fuels the way she shows up for every client—with empathy, dedication, and heart.

Her commitment to excellence is evident in even the smallest details. When one client lost interest in eating, Andreanna went above and beyond—preparing hearty, home-cooked meals not only during her shifts but even on her days off. Because of her care, the client regained her appetite and gained 10 pounds, bringing both comfort and peace of mind to her family.

But Andreanna’s impact goes far beyond physical care. For one client who lives farther away, she makes a long monthly drive just to style her hair, take her to a nail appointment, and share a meal together. With the client’s daughter living out of state, this routine has become something deeply meaningful—a source of joy, dignity, and connection. The client trusts no one else but Andreanna, a testament to the bond they share.

Her sense of responsibility is equally remarkable. During a frightening incident at a grocery store, Andreanna instinctively stepped between her client and an oncoming vehicle. Even after the client was injured, Andreanna remained calm and focused—contacting authorities, gathering information, and ensuring her client received immediate care. That same night, she stayed overnight to make sure her client wasn’t alone.

Andreanna’s professionalism, dedication to learning, and willingness to support her team set her apart. She consistently seeks opportunities to grow, attends trainings, and even participates in community events like the Denver Walk to End Alzheimer’s. She uplifts those around her—whether by mentoring fellow caregivers, advocating for clients, or stepping in during moments of need.

Above all, Andreanna treats every client like family. As a caregiver to her granddaughter with autism, she understands the importance of patience, compassion, and consistency. She brings that same love and attentiveness into every home she serves.

Andreanna embodies what it means to be a caregiver—not just through her actions, but through her heart. We are incredibly honored to celebrate her as our Caregiver of the Year and grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of our clients and their families every single day.
